    Project: A fast and reliable solution was needed to keep up with increased passenger traffic at the airport.

    Product: IN-PANL Solutions (Industrial Panel System)

    Payoff: 57,000 sq. ft. of SEMCO's unique modular tongue-and-groove panels created the a passenger area and walkway for Gates 1-10. The 6” thick non-combustible panels met stringent structural, acoustic, and thermal requirements as well as satisfying building code standards. The panels and trim, complete with factory applied and architecturally textured powder coat finish were shipped to the jobsite in carefully planned 4-day intervals to keep construction on track without material building up.

    New York City


    Project: A 1.6 MW cogeneration plant was installed atop a 13-story section of a 26-story office building in Manhattan. The challenge was that the owners didn't want the plant to be seen or heard.

    Payoff: FläktGroup SEMCO designed a modular sound-attenuated enclosure to allow the cogeneration plant to blend seamlessly into the high-end Manhatten business district where it would reside. Visually and acoustically the structure met each and every one of the client’s demanding needs, proving that cogeneration plants are a viable solution in even the most discriminating urban areas.

    saint-thomas-hospitalSaint Thomas West Hospital
    Nashville, Tennessee


    Project: A 550 bed hospital completed an outdoor-air retrofit to improve IAQ and energy recovery sustainability. The retrofit brings the circa-1973 building into current ASHRAE Standard 170,“Ventilation for Health Care Facilities,” recommendations. 

    Product: MD-PANL Solutions (Modular Duct Panel System)

    Payoff: Engineering the retrofit was not easy because there was no space to add additional ductwork to deliver conditioned outdoor air from the rooftop ERVs. The only alternative beyond a destructive and space consuming internal duct system was a vertical ductwork riser installed externally down the side of the building. Choosing panels over sheet metal ductwork allowed the system to be customized, factory powder-coated and color matched to the building’s beige exterior.

    Project: A massive plant restoration, which included advanced carbon filtration, reverse osmosis, and pressure filtration processes, required a noise abatement plan

    Product: AT-PANL Solutions (Acoustic Thermal Panel System)

    Payoff: FläktGroup SEMCO customized a total of 20 acoustic enclosures for booster pumps and vertical turbine pumps at the Charnock plant.  Each enclosure included an access door for minor servicing.  The enclosures also included cut-outs which allowed heat from the pumps to exit and dissipate.
