    Reports To (Position Title): Director of Sales

    Position Scope: State the actual functions for which the position is responsible.

    Manages and coordinates all sales activities to achieve sales and profit goals as set by the Director of Sales – AQS & CEO. Designs, recommends and tracks sales programs. Develops, recommends and implements sales plans, strategies, tactics, and objectives to meet or exceed company goals. Along with the Director of Sales, recruits, terminates, interviews, selects, hires, trains and motivates sales staff and representatives. Provides management with key sales and market information.

    Major Responsibilities and Tasks: List those activities which are performed in carrying out the position scope.

    1. To achieve the sales volume and profit goals for the product as set by the President & CEO and Director of Sales.

    2. Develop, train and manage an effective group of Regional Sales Managers.

    3. Select, train, develop, and manage an effective network of independent manufacturers representatives.

    4. Prepare product sales plan to achieve the sales volume and margin goals as set by the President & CEO and Director of Sales

    5. Prepare quarterly sales and margin forecasts.

    6. Provide technical expertise for customers, engineers, reps and inside personnel.

    7. Monitor manufacturer’s representative performance and take necessary action to achieve company goals.

    8. In depth knowledge of competitor’s products, sales and marketing techniques and financial principles.


    Description of Authority:

    1. To make decisions which result in increased product sales and margins for the company, which adhere to company policy.

    2. Hire and terminate sales staff and manufacturers’ representatives.

    Position Qualifications: Minimum requirements desired to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

    Bachelor’s Degree or Higher

    Minimum of 8 years’ experience in related field

    Minimum of 8 years’ progressive managerial experience

    Excellent Leadership capabilities; ability to communicate, motivate and lead team at various levels. Strong personal credibility to influence and inspire others to achieve and exceed personal and professional targets.
